Abstract A series of H3PO4/MCM-41 catalysts at different calcination temperature(1-T) were prepared by impregnation method. The structures were characterized by FT-IR, XRD and N2adsorption-desorption. The catalytic activities of 1-T were investigated by gas phase dehydration of glycerol to acrolein. The results indicated that 1450 had higher proportion of Brnsted acidic sites, which exhibited best catalytic activity with 94% conversion of glycerol, 77% yield of acrolein and 82% selectivity of acrolein.
